Family Photography
Do you want family photo's that are more than everyone just smiling at the camera? I want to capture your family in a real life authentic situation, whether that's at home or an outdoor location special you. We'll play games with the kids and go on an adventure to help freeze those real life smiles and snuggles, creating photo's that will make you feel something.
Once your booked in for your shoot we'll choose a location together and I'll send over my detailed preparation guide. This includes a style guide and I'll be on hand to help with any outfit decisions to take the stress out of the preparation. But ultimately your family is just that, yours to do whatever you like! Whether that's playing at golden hour in a pretty meadow, splashing in the sea at the beach, exploring a new pretty spot, baking or reading a book together at home it can be whatever feels right for you.
~ What if my kids don't play ball? We honestly don't need them too! It's absolutely normal for kids especially in a new situation to be apprehensive, not stay still or throw an odd tantrum! I'm a Mum too and I've seen it all. The purpose of the shoot is to capture them as they are, whether that is nervous and snuggled close to you or wild and running free I'm here for it all! If I ask them to do something but they don't listen and do something else that's fine because sometimes they do something better! For our hour together we'll let them be in charge.
~ What do I need to do at the session, I'm not comfortable in front of the camera? I don't think many of us like having our photo taken, me included! Honestly at the session I need you to just let go and just be with you children. Take this take to forget all the other worries and jobs that need doing and be present. Dote on your kids, play the silly games, laugh with them, listen to them. If your having fun this will show in the photos. Lets have some fun!
Extended family shoots will come with a slightly higher session fee, depending on the number of family groups to be included. Please enquire for more information.
